By Sarah Taylor - United Kingdom

CJ

Just wanted to write a quick note to thank you for organising a truly wonderful holiday. It all ran very smoothly and the crew, boat and wildlife all exceed our high expectations.

Thanks for helping out when we got weathered in to Hallo Bay as well really appreciated your help

Thanks again

Sarah

1. What was the most memorable or exciting part of your holiday?

The whole trip was outstanding from start to finish. The boat was great - large enough to give everyone space but small enough to be personal. The crew were exception and had the holiday, Brian the very experience skipper who had time to talk to everyone and was extremely knowledgeable, Steve nothing was too much trouble, Annie the cook who provided first class food made fresh everyday and Danny the naturalist who was knowledgeable and great fun. And finally the wildlife and scenery were exceptional. We saw killers whales, black and brown bears catching salmon and had amazing interaction with the humpback whales. Most important of all it was all done intimate and sensitive manner so it felt like we were part of their world with out intruding on it.

2. What tips would you give other travellers booking this holiday?

If you love scenery, wildlife and relaxing with a great crew book it tomorrow

3. Did you feel that your holiday benefited local people, and minimized impacts on the environment?

We did not have much interaction with the local people but the trip was very environmentally focused in all respects

4. Finally, how would you rate your holiday overall?

Fantastic country, fantastic wildlife, fantastic crew

Thank you for your comments Sarah. We are so happy that you and your friends enjoyed this journey.

Travelling on a sailboat certainly broaden's one's horizons. Some of our trip involve more scenery and nature. In others like our Gwaii Haanas trips, the community welcomes us as honoured guests in ancient Haida villages guarded by watchmen and accessible only by boat in groups of no more that 12 people at a time. We believe this form of travel to be the best way to discover the Pacific NorthWest -- travelling with people who seek to take in the essence of the magnificent places they visit.
